During its 60 years in spectacle lens design, Nikon has been and remains committed to optical technology and thought, further advancing aesthetic appeal and visual performance to the spectacle lens wearer.

Nikon once again uses its expertise in the optical industry to create SEEMAX Progressive, a truly customized 3D Double Aspheric Progressive lens.

SEEMAX Progressive's optical performance has been greatly improved compared to conventional progressive lens. Using the "Nikon Spectacle Lenses Design Engine", a very precise calculation software, Nikon is able to calculate very complicated optical surface and allows optical performance to be maximized for every wearer whatever the prescription.

     
A spectacle lens that is truly individually designed

SEEMAX Progressive design is truly customized based on each individual. It requires specific data such as lens, full fitting details and prescription before the final lens is manufactured. Each lens is individually designed to provide the best optical performance.
 

 

High precision from every point of view

The main drawback of PAL is distortions, resulting in adaptation problem. With SEEMAX Progressive, the lens optical performance is maximized providing the highest quality level of eyesight possible

Both the front side and back side of the lens are custom made based on individual parameters. The lens shape is taken into account to provide the best possible cosmetic appeal (3D Optimum Lens Shape Design). The front side consists of a 3D Progressive Surface, for optimum near and intermediate vision. The back side consists of a 3D aberrations in order to improve visual quality within all areas of vision.

SEEMAX Progressive takes into consideration of working distance and prescription when designing the lens. The near vision area is set according to each wearer, providing a wider vision from intermediate to near.

SEEMAX Progressive takes into consideration of the lens shape to ensure that the thickness and weight for both lenses are automatically balanced.
